A Dedicated Piano Instructor
Since 2002, I’ve been working with students of all ages and abilities and guiding them as they increase their practical and theoretical skills. I love sharing my passion with others and am so grateful that I get to do this incredible job every single day.
I am an Alberta certified teacher, a member of Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association, and a member of the Alberta Piano Teachers Association. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Regina and I am a graduate of the Certificate Program of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Additionally, I am a certified teacher for the Royal Conservatory of Music. Recently, I completed both the Elementary Teacher and the Teaching Online courses with RCM for professional development. Further, I have been studying piano pedagogy for young children, with a particular interest in Gordon Music Learning Theory. I have many years of experience teaching children of all ages and abilities, as well as adults and seniors. I am an active member of our community and I have lived and taught in Strathmore since 2002 and I have served as a board member of the Strathmore Performing Arts Festival since its inception. I have an interest in the use of new technologies for communication and teaching as well as finding ways to include games and play to facilitate learning!
I’ve taken everything I have learned over the years and combined it into a teaching style that is friendly, approachable, organized and effective.
